Wiktoria Lesniak

She is a specialist in internal medicine with PhD in cardiology, a member of Cochrane Poland and a chair of Critical Appraisal of Guidelines in Internal Medicine EFIM Working Group. She used to teach EBM to students, physicians, workers of the National Health Fund and the Ministry of Health. The scope of her research activities involves the assessment of the cardiovascular risk, implementation of guidelines into clinical practice, the methodological aspects of clinical trials, and systematic reviews on the effectiveness of therapeutic interventions. As a Deputy Editor-in-Chief of the “Medycyna Praktyczna” journal she is responsible for popularizing EBM, preparation of the structured summaries of clinical trials and treatment guidelines.
