Kris Rehm

Kris Rehm, MD, MMHC, SFHM is the Associate Chief Medical Officer of Children’s Services and the Vice Chair of Outreach in the Department of Pediatrics at the Monroe Carell Jr Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt. She assumed the role of the President of the Society of Hospital Medicine at Converge 2023 in Austin, Texas. Dr Rehm graduated summa cum laude from Ohio University with a bachelors in science and her MD from the Feinberg School of Medicine at Northwestern University. She completed residency and a chief residency at the Boston Combined Pediatrics residency in 2002, and she has lived and practiced in Nashville, Tennessee since. Her roles at VUMC include expanding services for children and she oversees more than 60 clinicians and partners with local hospitals across Tennessee. In service to SHM, Dr Rehm has served as Chair of the Pediatrics Committee, planning chair of the Pediatric Hospital Medicine meeting in 2017, Leadership Facilitator, and board member since 2017. In her free time, Dr Rehm enjoys spending time with her husband, Christopher and their 4 sons.
