Dr Lambrinoudaki was born in Athens and graduated from Athens University Medical School. She conducted her Doctoral Thesis at Ruprecht Karls University in Heidelberg, Germany on the Epidemiology of osteoporosis in association with endogenous sex hormones. She was trained in Clinical Endocrinology in the Department of Pathophysiology, at Athens University Medical School and in the Departments of Endocrinology and Metabolism, at Ruprecht Karls University, Heidelberg, Germany, in Nikaia General District Hospital, Piraeus, Greece and in Queen Mary Hospital, University of Hong Kong. She is a Professor of Endocrinology in the 2nd Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Medical School, University of Athens, Greece. She has been responsible for her department’s educational, clinical and research activities since 2000. She has authored 280 publications (November 2023) in peer-reviewed international journals, mainly on gynaecological endocrinology, menopause, hormone therapy and osteoporosis. She is President of the Hellenic Society of Climacterium and Menopause, Past President of the European Menopause and Andropause Society (EMAS, 2015-2017), Scientific Director of EMAS (2017-today) and Editor in Chief of the journal MATURITAS, I.F. 5.11, the official journal of EMAS. She is the recipient of the 2018 Henry Burger Prize which the International Menopause Society awards to the Scientist with the most significant contributions in the field of menopause in the previous five years of a World Congress.
