Dr Christopher Davidson is an Honorary (and Founding) Member of the European Federation of Internal Medicine (EFIM).  He was EFIM Secretary-General from 1997- 2005, then Vice President until 2009. He was Director of the European School of Internal Medicine (ESIM) in the UK from 2009 – 2011. He is an Internist and Cardiologist, and until 2005 Head of the Sussex Cardiac Centre in Brighton, UK. Dr Davidson was awarded Honorary Fellowship of the ACP-ASIM in 2003 for his involvement in the Medical Professionalism Project, a joint venture with the ABIM Foundation, which received wide recognition following publication of the Physicians Charter in the Annals of Internal Medicine and The Lancet in 2002.  He has also been a member of national working groups on Cardiac Rehabilitation, Stroke Management, and Medical Manpower. He was a member of the European Journal of Internal Medicine editorial board, and Section Editor of Education in Heart.  He is currently Honorary Cardiologist at the Brighton & Sussex Medical School, University of Brighton, UK.
